Over 1.6 billion people are not living in a proper home. As a result of poverty or war, billions of people are living in make-shift shelters, refugee camps, on the sides of the roads or in simple structures made from scraps of material. These shelters fail to offer protection against the blazing summer heat, and also fail to provide warmth in the depths of winter. You can build a shelter home for a vulnerable family that is strong, stable and big enough for the family. Each home includes bedrooms, a washroom, solar panels for uninterrupted electricity and a hand pump which provides clean water every single day. You can build a home for £1,750.

Tajo Mai is living with her 3 children in Chak District Layyah, Punjab Pakistan. Her husband is mentally disabled and unable to work. She works in the houses of others as a housekeeper earning a very small daily income for her family. Due to their poverty, her children are not getting an education. She was living in a make-shift shelter that is not offering any protection for her family. In winter, the shelter leaks and her children are falling sick. Thanks to your donations, we have completed a shelter home for Tajo Mai and her family. They will now be able to live in safety, warmth and protection thanks to you.
