How you can Help

Water Hand Pumps

Millions of people in various parts of the world are unfortunately deprived of clean and safe drinking water, which puts their health at risk. This is especially true for vulnerable communities that lack access to quality healthcare. For instance, in Pakistan, waterborne diseases claim the lives of 100,000 individuals each year, with children accounting for half of the fatalities. To make matters worse, due to the absence of clean water sources near their homes, countless women and children have to travel long distances daily to fetch water from nearby sources that are often contaminated. At Children of Adam, we are dedicated to addressing these pressing issues by constructing water hand pumps. By donating to our cause, you can contribute to the installation of a water hand pump in Pakistan, either in your name or in honour of a loved one. As a token of appreciation for your support, we will provide you with a detailed report that includes photographs of the well and information about the community you have helped. A donation of £150 will allow us to provide a water hand pump for a deserving family in Pakistan, while a contribution of £750 will enable us to install a deep-water hand pump for an entire community.By supporting Children of Adam, you can make a significant impact and help ensure that no one has to endure the hardships caused by a lack of clean water. Join us in our mission today and bring clean water to those who need it most.

Hadith

On the authority of Sa‘d bin ’Ubadah that he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Umm (mother of) Sa‘d has died, so which charity is best?’ He (saw) replied, ‘[Providing] water’. He (ra) said, ‘So [Sa’d] dug a well and said, “This (well) is for Umm Sa‘d”’. [Abu Dawud]
