How you can Help

About Syria Emergency

The Syrian crisis began in 2011, and over 11 years we have seen the escalation of the world’s worst humanitarian and refugee crisis. Ongoing violence has resulted in mass loss of life, homes, and livelihood opportunities. Schools and hospitals have been targeted, leaving children without education, and leaving millions without access to lifesaving medical care. Millions of children have been made orphans, while at least two children lose their lives due to violence every single day. Almost million people have fled Syria for neighbouring countries, in search of safety, often with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Many refugees in countries like Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey are living in refugee camps, which are over-crowded and unsanitary.

Millions of refugees are attempting to build a bright future for themselves in safety and peace. However, life is extremely difficult for most refugees as they lack adequate homes, nourishing food, clean water, access to education and quality healthcare. In most cases, refugees are unable to work, leaving them without a regular income. This results in a whole series of issues, where often families are hungry and struggling to survive. Most refugee camps are temporary arrangements made using flimsy material, which offers no protection against the scorching summer heat, or the freezing winter weathers, putting lives at risk in every season.  Donate to our Syria Emergency Appeal now to provide nourishing food and essential aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
