About the Appeal

Education is an integral part of every child’s life and their future. In classrooms, children are safe and are supported to learn, to dream and to truly thrive. Education is a key way that children, families and entire communities can break cycles of poverty. Going to school equips children for the future with skills, knowledge, qualifications and connections. Education helps them grow up with better jobs, the ability to make better choices for themselves, their families and their societies, and puts them in a position to be able to stand up for their own rights and for those less fortunate. However, 258 million children who should be in school, are currently not going to school.

Poverty is one reason why so many children are not in school. Parents cannot afford the fees, stationary, uniform and food for their child. In impoverished communities, many families prefer their children support with household chores or collecting water. On the other hand, schools are often run-down. Many schools lack adequate hygiene and sanitation facilities including toilets, particularly impacting girls. At Children of Adam, we’re working with these challenges and supporting families to send their children to school. Educate a child today and help ensure that children everywhere can access a quality education. You will help cover all expenses of a child’s education and help us work with communities to bring a shift in perspective.
