About Turkey Emergency

On Monday 6th February, South East Türkiye (Turkey) and North West Syria were struck by two devastating 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes. Almost 41 million people have been affected, and at least 50,000 people have died. The first earthquake hit at 4:17am, while many people were in their homes, sleeping. The second large earthquake hit while rescue operations had begun, within 12 hours of the first. The region has experienced approximately 7,000 aftershocks. Just two weeks later, on 20th February, two more huge 6.4 and 5.8 earthquakes hit the region. Children of Adam have been on the ground since the beginning, providing vital aid.

This Ramadan, we want to ensure the people of Turkey and Syria are not forgotten. Millions have lost their homes, loved ones, their livelihoods and everything they own. The devastation is on an unprecedented level, as Syria has already been so weakened and devastated by over a decade of conflict and bombardments. The South East of Turkey is home to thousands of Syrian refugees who have fled violence and were hoping to build a brighter future for themselves. Now, they continue to face hardship as the earthquakes have taken so much from them. This Ramadan, donate to provide hot meals, tents, blankets, food parcels, water, medical aid and clothing.
