Ramadan Fitrana Distributions

Fitrana 2026
As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close and Eid al-Fitr approaches, it becomes essential for every Muslim to partake in the sacred duty of paying Fitrana, also known as Zakat al-Fitr.
Begin by calculating the amount you owe based on your household’s headcount.
The generally recommended quantity is equivalent to one saa’ (an ancient measure)—approximately 3 litres of staple foods such as dates, barley, or their monetary value equivalent, for each household member.
This symbolic gesture of donation ensures that those less privileged can also experience the joy of Eid. To make sure your contribution is received in time, it is advisable to pay “Fitrana 2026: pay Zakat al Fitr today,” ensuring that the needy benefit from communal generosity and shared joy during the festivities.
Fitrana is a charitable duty given at the end of Ramadan so those in need can celebrate Eid with dignity. It’s a fixed, per-person amount set on behalf of each eligible member of the household.
Children of Adam’s rate is £4 per person. This reflects the local value of staple food for one person. Multiply £4 by the number of people you’re paying for.
Any Muslim who has more than their essential needs on the night of Eid should give Fitrana. The head of the household may pay for dependents, including children.
Pay before the Eid al-Fitr prayer. If you miss that time, give it as soon as possible; it will count as general charity rather than Zakat al-Fitr.
Yes. Donating the cash value allows us to procure suitable staple food or equivalent assistance quickly and deliver it in time for Eid.
Yes. Calculate the total by counting each person you’re covering, then donate one combined amount before the Eid prayer.
Fitrana is paid on behalf of dependents in the household. Many families include children in their total so everyone is covered.
We prioritise vulnerable families so support reaches them before Eid. Funds are used to provide staple food or equivalent assistance in regions where we operate. We publish impact updates after distributions
