Children of Adam Launches “My Ramadan Activity Book”: A 30-Day Spiritual Journey for Children

PETERBOROUGH, UK – This Ramadan, international charity Children of Adam is inviting families into a transformative 30-day spiritual experience with the launch of its innovative “My Ramadan Activity Book”. More than just a collection of pages, this booklet is a meticulously designed curriculum aimed at nurturing the next generation through a holistic approach of learning, prayer, and practical goodness.

Built around the core pillars of Colour, Learn, Du’a, and Good Deeds, the booklet transforms each day of the holy month into a milestone for character development. From the importance of personal intentions to the power of community service, children are guided through essential Islamic virtues in an engaging, interactive format.

A Daily Roadmap for Spiritual and Character Growth

The “My Ramadan Activity Book” provides a structured, 30-day roadmap where every day introduces a “Word of the Day” supported by a specific lesson, a prophetic Hadith, and a practical daily challenge. This intentional design ensures that children don’t just learn about faith—they live it.

The Foundation: Intention, Kindness, and Discipline (Days 1–3)

The spiritual journey begins with the most fundamental concept in Islam: Day 1 – Intention (Niyyah). Children are taught that “Ramadan is a special month to please Allah” and are introduced to the pivotal Hadith, “Actions are by intentions”. This lesson emphasizes that Allah loves a good heart. To put this into practice immediately, their first recommended good deed is helping at home.

On Day 2 – Kindness, the focus shifts to the domestic sphere with the lesson to “Be kind to your family”. Rooted in the Hadith “Best of you are best to your family,” children are encouraged to use kind words such as “please,” “thank you,” and “sorry,” while learning that Allah loves kindness.

Day 3 – Suhoor introduces the discipline of the pre-dawn meal. Children learn that “Suhoor has blessings” and provides the necessary strength for their daily activities. Their practical challenge involves mindfulness during meals, specifically ensuring they do not waste food.

Connection and Knowledge: Salah and the Qur’an (Days 4–5)

As the first week progresses, the booklet deepens the child’s relationship with their Creator. Day 4 – Salah describes prayer as “talking to Allah” and explains that it helps us stay close to Him. An interactive matching activity helps children learn the five daily prayer names—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—alongside their respective times of day.

Day 5 – Qur’an celebrates Ramadan as the month of revelation. Taught through the Hadith “Best of you learn Qur’an,” children are encouraged to view the Qur’an as Allah’s special book for them. Their daily deed is to spend time listening to or reading its verses.

Community and Mercy: Sadaqah, Manners, and Forgiveness (Days 6–9)

The final days of the first third of Ramadan focus on how faith manifests in our treatment of others. Day 6 – Sadaqah emphasizes that “Giving makes Allah happy”. Even “half a date” is presented as a meaningful contribution that helps others. Children are encouraged to create their own “charity jar” to visualize their generosity.

Day 7 – Manners teaches that “Good Muslims have good manners” and that a “best character is heavy on the scale” of rewards. Their good deed is a lesson in self-restraint: choosing not to shout.

Day 8 – Forgiveness guides children to “Forgive others for Allah,” with the promise that He rewards those who are merciful.

Finally, Day 9 – Du’a brings everything back to supplication. Taught that “Du’a is worship,” children are reassured that Allah always listens when they ask for help. They are encouraged to make du’a for others, fostering a sense of empathy and community.

Interactive Learning and Emotional Well-being

A standout feature of this edition is its commitment to the emotional health of the child. Every page includes a Mood Tracker, where children can record their feelings by coloring in a Happy, Okay, or Sad face. This practice of self-reflection is paired with creative activities like drawing “charity jars,” matching prayer times, and writing personal Ramadan goals.

Through this 30-day initiative, Children of Adam is providing a powerful tool for families to foster a deep-seated love for faith, community, and personal excellence in their children.
