Pakistan Floods
In 2022, Pakistan endured its heaviest monsoon rainfall in decades, triggering devastating floods that submerged one-third of the country.
The scale of destruction was staggering: over 33 million people lost their homes, 1 billion livestock perished, and more than 1,500 lives were tragically cut short—a figure likely underreported. Families were left stranded, sleeping under open skies along roadsides, without access to food, clean water, or medical care.
As winter sets in, millions now face a new, life-threatening challenge. Bitterly cold nights, snowfall, and freezing rain loom over those already battling poverty and displacement.
Children of Adam has been on the ground since the disaster struck, delivering essential food, water, hygiene kits, and shelter through our Pakistan Floods Appeal.
Now, we are shifting focus to long-term recovery—rebuilding homes and infrastructure to restore safety and security. Entire communities have been left in ruins, with millions still without shelter. For these families, a home is more than just four walls; it’s a lifeline during winter’s harsh grip. Without it, countless lives remain at risk.
